Corporate Responsibility: In the Community
Helping people is an important part of what we do at the Principal Financial Group® (The Principal®). The company and the Principal Financial Group Foundation, Inc. work together to give to those in need through a variety of programs.
How we are helping
One important way our company and our employees contribute is through corporate giving. This includes:
- In-kind donations – the company gathers unused office supplies and equipment to donate to not-for-profit organizations.
- Matching contributions – gifts made by eligible employees to qualified educational institutions and United Way are eligible for the Principal Financial Group Foundation, Inc., matching gift program.
- Volunteerism - The Principal Volunteer Network is committed to promoting volunteerism throughout the company with a particular emphasis on providing information for one-time projects and opportunities with short-term commitment.
