- 80/35 Festival – July 4-5, 2014

- Asian Heritage Festival in Iowa – May 31, 2014
The Asian Heritage Festival is organized by the Iowa Asian Alliance, a professional business organization that represents and promotes the business, economic and community development of a united Asian American community in Iowa. - Capital City Pride – June 6-8, 2014
Capital City Pride-Des Moines, Iowa, is a group of proactive individuals who are striving to recognize the importance of gay culture in the Midwest. The annual Pride celebration, held the second weekend in June every summer, consists of a street party, a parade, and a show with all types of community exhibitors and musical performances! Their mission is to promote acceptance, tolerance, and understanding of the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender community through education, programming, and visibility. Since 1998, the Des Moines Arts Festival has taken Des Moines by storm. With more than 200,000 attendees annually, the festival is a signature art and culture event in Iowa.
