The Principal Financial Group Announces New Senior Vice President of Individual Life, Life & Health Segment
July 24, 2006 (Des Moines, Iowa) — The Principal Financial Group® announces Deanna Strable, senior vice president of the Specialty Benefits Division, will expand her current role to include direct oversight of the individual life insurance business. She will also continue leading the Specialty Benefits Division.
"Deanna has demonstrated strong leadership in the development and execution of a long-term strategy to grow and expand the Specialty Benefits Division," said John Aschenbrenner, president of Insurance and Financial Services for the Principal Financial Group. "In her new role, Deanna will use this experience to further develop and implement the life division strategy."
Strable joined The Principal® in 1990 in the actuarial area and has held a number of positions across the company. In 2003, she became head of the newly-created Specialty Benefits Division which includes group life, disability, dental/vision and individual disability.
