The Principal Financial Group Announces New Vice President - Health Provider Networks
October 2, 2007 (Des Moines, Iowa) — The Principal Financial Group®, the nation's premier provider of employee and voluntary benefits announces Tim Stumpff has been named vice president of provider networks for the company's health division. In this new role, Stumpff is responsible for managing relationships with health provider networks, which connect health plan members to local physicians and facilities.

Stumpff most recently served as vice president in the company's capital markets area where he was responsible for company acquisitions and long-term capital management. He received an accounting degree from the University of Missouri - Kansas City and a law degree from Harvard Law School. Prior to joining The Principal in 2003, he was with Leucadia International Corporation. Before that he was a partner with Wilmer, Cutler & Pickering, a Washington D.C.-based international law firm.
