The Principal Financial Group Announces Central Iowa Grant Recipients
Corporate giving focused on education, health and human services
September 25, 2008 (Des Moines, IA) — Quality health care. First-class education. Essential human services where and when they are needed most. During the first half of 2008, the Principal Financial Group® and the Principal Financial Group Foundation, Inc., gifted more than $8.3 million to more than 400 non-profit organizations supporting education and health and human services. More than half of that total benefited organizations in the Des Moines-area.

To date, funding from the Foundation in 2008 has supported scholarship programs, health education, tutoring programs, breast cancer research, childhood cancer survivorship programs and free medical clinics.
