April 21, 2009 (Des Moines, IA) — Barrie Christman, chairman of Principal Bank and vice president of Retirement and Investor Services at the Principal Financial Group®, will be a featured speaker at the Women Presidents' Organization, 2009 12th Annual Conference in San Diego, Calif., on Friday, April 24, 2009.
Christman will join two other speakers as part of a panel discussion, "What Do I Do with My Money Now? Sustaining Your Business and Personal Wealth."
In her presentation, "401(k)—Still a Path to Retirement?," Christman will help participants set realistic expectations about the recovery period for declines in market value incurred in 2008. She will also discuss strategies for clients and their employees as they look to transition from saving for retirement to income generation in retirement.
