Chatham Partners survey of retirement plan clients reveals top scores
March 16, 2010 (Des Moines, IA) - Recognizing an unwavering commitment to provide exceptional quality and service, the Principal Financial Group® received strong scores in satisfaction and loyalty from its defined contribution (DC) and defined benefit (DB) retirement plan clients in 2009, according to a recent survey by Chatham Partners.

The survey results show strong scores for overall client satisfaction, including several Best in Class distinctions for client service and actuarial personnel. In addition, client loyalty ratings and service excellence scores exceeded the Chatham benchmark in a majority of areas measured, including:

The Chatham Partners survey solicited feedback from DC and DB retirement plan clients on the products and services they receive from The Principal. The firm surveyed two client segments: small to mid-sized plan sponsors with $5 million to $50 million in retirement plan assets and large plan sponsors with $50 million or more in plan assets.
