Online Portal Helps Financial Pros Provide Retirement Income Education

The Principal expands self-serve online education

October 5, 2010 (Des Moines, Iowa) - As a tidal wave of baby boomers closes in on their golden years, they face the daunting challenge of turning retirement savings into retirement income.

But only 14 percent of pre-retirees actually have a written plan to guide them[1]. Financial professionals with the right tools have a tremendous edge in boosting their retirement income planning business.

A newly expanded Retirement Education Portal from the Principal Financial Group® offers financial professionals easy access to a comprehensive online library focused on retirement income planning in addition to tools and resources for overall retirement plan education.

  • A step-by-step guide to planning and conducting more effective education meetings
  • The new Education Edge magazine with information about new educational offerings

In addition to the expanded portal, financial professionals also have access to local education personnel who conduct both group education meetings and one-on-one meetings with participants.
