The Principal Financial Group Announces New Senior Vice President of Individual Life Division, Life & Health Segment
Oct. 6, 2005 (Des Moines, Iowa) — The Principal Financial Group® today announced Edward (Ed) W. Cassidy has been named Senior Vice President - Individual Life, with direct oversight of the individual life insurance business.
"Ed brings to The Principal® tremendous product development and management, and distribution experience. The new perspective he brings to the business will benefit our customers and sales force," said John Aschenbrenner, president of Insurance and Financial Services for the Principal Financial Group. "We welcome him to this role as we continue to further develop our individual life insurance leadership position, specifically in the nonqualified executive benefits and worksite marketplace."
Cassidy joins the Principal Financial Group from Travelers Life and Annuity, where he was the president of Travelers Life Division. With nearly 20 years experience in the insurance and financial service industry, he has held a variety of broker-dealer, product and distribution positions.
