How to Subscribe to News Alerts
Principal Financial Group uses RSS to allow you to receive our news releases automatically.
What is RSS?
RSS, really simple syndication, is an easy way for you to subscribe to automatically receive updates as new releases are posted. The news releases are delivered to you as they are posted on www.principal.com via an RSS feed.
How do I use RSS?
You have two options:
Option 1: Get an RSS feed reader.
A feed reader is a "news aggregator" that takes the information from the RSS feed and displays it to you in an easy to read format. You can install a reader onto your computer or you can use a Web-based reader.
How do I get an RSS feed reader?
There are a variety of RSS readers available and most are Web-based:
- Bloglines
- NewsGator
- Google Reader
- FeedDemon (cost is involved)
- Shrook (for Mac users)
How do I add your news releases to an RSS feed reader?
Once you have a feed reader, click on the
button. Then follow the instructions (from whichever feed reader you've selected) for placing the code.
Option 2: Add the feed to MyYahoo! or your personalized Google home page.
With this option, the links to all our news releases will be available from your MyYahoo! or personalized Google home page.
