Changing your personal information

Q. How do I update my mailing address?

A. You can change your mailing address online. Here's how:

  1. Select "Your Profile" (under Tools)
  2. Select "Change Address" (under Personal Information)
  3. Either select the addresses you want to update and click "Update Selected Addresses" or simply click "Update All Addresses"
  4. Follow the instructions on the screen

Q. How do I change my email address?

A. You can change your email address online. Here's how:

  1. Select "Your Profile" (under Tools)
  2. Select "Update Email Address" (under Personal Information)
  3. Follow the instructions on the screen

Q. How do I get information on product offers or specials?

A. You can subscribe to our newsletters and alerts online. Here's how:

  1. Select "Your Profile" (under Tools)
  2. Select Subscriptions & Email Preferences (under Preferences)
  3. Follow the instructions on the screen

Q. Can I get my statements and other documents electronically?

A. Yes. You can sign-up to receive certain documents electronically. Here's how:

  1. Select "Your Profile" (under Tools)
  2. Select Subscriptions & Email Preferences (under Preferences)
  3. Follow the instructions

Changing your login information

Q. How do I change my username or password?

A. You can change your password online, but not your username. Here's how to change your password:

  1. Select "Your Profile" (under Tools)
  2. Select "Change Password" (under Login Information)
  3. Answer the appropriate questions to verify your identity
  4. Follow the instructions on the screen

Q. How do I change my security questions and answers or login image and phrase?

A. You can change your security questions and answers and login image and phraseonline. Here's how:

  1. Select "Your Profile" (under Tools)
  2. Select "Change Security Questions and Answers" or "Change Login Image & Phrase" (under Login Information)
  3. Answer the appropriate questions to verify your identity
  4. Follow the instructions on the screen

Updating a beneficiary

Q. How do I update a beneficiary on a Principal Financial Group product

A. Retirement plan participants may call us at 1.800.547.7754 or you may be able to access beneficiary forms online:

  1. If you have multiple accounts, click on the "Details" link of the account you want to update
  2. Select "Plan Info & Forms" (on the left)
  3. Select "Beneficiary" (on the left)
  4. Follow the instructions on the screen
