Tips & Advice
We look for top talent in every position at The Principal. It is our job to evaluate your fit with every position you apply to. It is your job to present your skill set in the best way possible. Review a general outline of our hiring process below and check out tips for resumés and interviewing.
Most candidates at The Principal will go through a process like the one listed below. We will always keep you updated, so when we make a decision regarding your status you will be notified either through a phone call or email for every position you have applied to.
- Resumés Review – A human being evaluates every applicant who applies for a position. A human resources recruiter evaluates your fit for each position you have applied to. We do not look at candidates who have not applied to a specific position and we do not have an automatic filter.
- Phone Interview – Most candidates will speak with a human resources recruiter during their first interview with the company. We will discuss your experiences and fit with the position you have applied to. Candidates who have interviewed in the last year or employees of The Principal will often skip this step.
- Final Interview – The last step is usually an interview with a person or group you would be working with. These interviews are usually in person.
Throughout our hiring process we evaluate your skills in two primary ways. The first is through your resumés and the second is through interviews.
