Employees get a lot more from the company than their pay and benefits. The following list of "Work Perks" highlights just a few of the other elements of our total compensation package:
Employee discounts-Because The Principal is a large employer, various companies offer our employees a discount on their goods or services, which means you can benefit from great prices at different businesses. As an employee, you also have free access to our preferred corporate travel supplier, to obtain discounts on airline tickets, hotel reservations, rental car services, cruises and vacation packages.
Weekend incentive program- When employees travel for business this program reimburses 60 percent of the savings if employees extend their trip to include a Saturday night stay.
Diversity resource groups- These groups serve as an internal support system and network for employees. They include: Disability Resource Group, Gay/Straight Employee Alliance, African-American Resource Group, Asian/Indian Resource Group, Latino Resource Group and Muslim Resource Group.
Employee recreation room-Relax in the casual and stimulating environment of the High Street Retreat in the corporate center. Here, you can chose to chat with others, use walk-up PCs to access personal email accounts, play one of several games(including ping-pong, foosball, shuffleboard) or you can take advantage of a quiet reading room.
Personal services-Dry cleaning, photo development services, postage stamp dispensers and DVD rentals are also made available to employees in the corporate center.
Jeans day- Fridays are designated as Jeans Day, allowing employees to wear jeans and athletic shoes to work. In addition, the company encourages employees to show their Principal pride on Fridays by wearing Principal logo merchandise, such as t-shirts and sweatshirts.
Free drink Monday-Every Monday, each employee receives one free soda or coffee.
