Chris's Story
Fresh out of the U.S. Navy, I was looking for a position that would allow me to adapt to civilian life. That’s exactly what I found at The Principal. Here, I feel like I’m an important part of the business.
I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to find my niche and transition from a military environment. The people are friendly, professional and committed to helping customers reach their retirement goals. It’s great to work along side such talented people as I learn the business. I appreciate the time everyone takes to answer my questions and share their knowledge.
As a mutual funds support associate, I handle all business stationery orders and approvals, requests for marketing materials, plus oversee all supply orders for my business area. This position has allowed me to develop a solid understanding of our mutual fund products and distribution channels.
It’s great to work for an organization that supports me in the goal of pursuing my degree in business management. My colleagues encourage me and care about the progress I make in each class. While furthering my education, I have the opportunity to learn about our business and develop a more professional mindset.
