Jennifer's Story
When I provide ideas or feedback, I know my voice is heard. The Principal makes it a top priority to understand how employees are feeling about various topics by distributing an annual Employee Opinion Survey. In the past, there have been changes made to benefits, the addition of a childcare center and more, based on employee feedback.
The Principal is a large company with many opportunities, regardless of your background. I’m a good example. Even with a degree in Child, Adult and Family Services, I was able to find a position that was suitable to my interests and skills.
As a project administrator, I support program and project managers on a large-scale project to renovate the processes and systems of one of our business areas in order to improve marketer experiences and relationships with The Principal. The responsibilities in my role range from scheduling ad-hoc meetings, assisting with status reports, reviewing and approving vendor invoices, resource management and assisting with risk and issue management.
My biggest accomplishment so far has been my involvement with creating new reports and layouts for the Corporate Project Management department and creating new processes to work more seamlessly with our offshore resources. This position is perfect for me because I’m constantly learning and finding new ways to develop.
