I had never really thought about a career in Human Resources, but working at a diversified company the size of The Principal gave me an opportunity to try something new by taking a different career path.
In Human Resources, I’ve had fantastic work experiences – mergers, acquisitions, the introduction of a new service delivery model and so much more. But, what’s best is knowing that what I do each day makes a difference to our employees and our business.
Prior to joining the Human Resources area, I worked in various leadership roles within our Health Division for nearly six years. There, I was an operations manager where I led a cross-functional team of underwriters, administrators, contract writers and system support staff.
Today, my team and I partner with business unit leadership in our Retirement and Investor Services area to create and execute human resources strategy. This helps ensure that we have the talent, skills and leadership we need to meet our business goals.
