Kristina's Story
I’m treated with respect and my work is appreciated. That’s what matters to me. After working in my current position as a investment analyst 2 for over a year, the real estate market had taken a downturn. I provide analytical support to the underwriting team for commercial real estate transactions. But, due to market changes, my busy days had become much less busy. My leaders have given me the opportunity to work on several special projects, including a new lending program that launched this summer.
My ability to connect with people has contributed to my success at The Principal. I easily relate to people and I enjoy getting to know other employees who have different backgrounds and experiences than I do. All of that is easy to do here because the people are friendly and eager to work together. We work hard, but we play hard too.
The Principal is a great place to work. I’m currently pursuing my MBA and I receive tuition reimbursement to help cover the cost. Plus, the company offers several development programs and a Development Week each year that have helped me professionally. I’ve also been able to pursue my personal goals by becoming more involved in the community through volunteer activities and focusing on my health with on-site wellness facilities.
