A celebration of America through baseball

Looks like this year's Principal Financial Dreams Tour is off to a great start. You know, The Principal has been doing events at minor league ballparks for over a decade. Since 2004 they've done over 450 events to celebrate local teams, entertain fans and provide information on how to plan for a secure financial future. That’s more events that any other baseball sponsor has ever done.
When you ask The Principal why they chose minor league ballparks, they’ll tell you they feel minor league teams and fans represent the best of towns and cities across America. Some say the local minor league team is "the front porch of the community, comfortable and welcoming to everyone in town."
Minor league ball clubs bring fans together in a great family environment to cheer on their hometown heroes and to build memories which are passed down from generation to generation. James Earl Jones had it right in "Field of Dreams" when he said, "The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball... It reminds us of all that once was good and that could be again."
Of all the sports, baseball is America's game and The Principal believes it’s the heart of the America that lives in small towns and cities from coast to coast. While LA has its Dodgers and New York its Yankees, Toledo’s Mud Hens and Durham's Bulls generate the same kind of fan loyalty and enthusiasm as their major league counterparts.
It's great to see a company like The Principal supporting minor league baseball and by extension the businesses and people who make up its fans.
This summer's Principal Financial Dreams Tour specifically celebrates the men and women of our country's military. But in many ways the tour this year, and every year, celebrates America itself. So come on out to the ballpark and see the next generation of the MLB before they become stars and maybe legends. As the saying goes... "Play Ball!"
