Principal Financial Group maintains two Representative Offices in Beijing: Principal Life Insurance Company Beijing Representative Office, established in December 1994, and Principal Global Investors LLC. Beijing Representative Office, established in November 2001. The two representative offices will work together to research and assess pension fund accumulation and management, employee benefit (including social insurance), and annuity business in People's Republic of China. In addition, the two offices act as a liaison between Principal Financial Group(USA), Principal Hong Kong regional office, and the Chinese government in exchanging information and providing technical skills to the financial industry and the relevant government offices.
