Enrollment - Plus Medical
With Principal-Only Enrollment PLUS you can enroll your non-medical benefits from Principal Life Insurance Company, as well as your medical benefits from another carrier*. This online enrollment system improves data accuracy and saves both employers and employees time.
Employers wanting to use Principal-Only Enrollment PLUS for annual or open enrollment need to:
- Have 50-250 eligible employees
- Provide necessary data two weeks prior to the date enrollment begins
- Complete enrollment in three weeks
- Close enrollment two weeks prior to the coverage effective date
- Pay a competitive, flat per-employee fee to use the service
The fee will be waived if a contract for eBenefits Edge is signed within two months of the enrolled products’ effective date. The medical carrier’s coverage effective dates and enrollment period must align with Principal Life coverages.
*The medical insurance carrier must accept a spreadsheet file with enrollment results.
