HSA Certificates of Deposit (CD)

• Available in 12 month (1-year), 36 month (3-year) and 60 month (5-year) terms
• Minimum balance of $1,000 per CD
• Tiered interest rates - higher rates for higher balances
• Contribute an additional amount once per year with no change in maturity date or interest rate
• FDIC insured

The rate received for the entire term of the CD is based upon the initial opening deposit amount, and will not change during the term of the CD even if your balance fluctuates due to withdrawals or additional contributions. • Transfer (PDF: 86 KB) - transfer an Archer MSA, Individual Retirement Account (IRA) (one-time only) or another HSA to a Principal HSA
• Rollover (PDF: 86 KB) - roll over funds from an Archer MSA or another HSA to a Principal HSA

To transfer or rollover an Archer Medical Savings Account (MSA) to a Principal HSA CD, complete the HSA CD Application and either the transfer or rollover form and mail them to Principal Bank. For assistance, please call us at 1.800.826.2364.
