Meet the Midwest Region Business Center Team

Larry has entered the life insurance industry in 1971 and joined the Principal Financial Group in 1984.  His agency has won the Grand Trophy for all agencies with The Principal in 1994, 1996, 1997 and 1998.  The agency has qualified as a GAMA Master Agency for the last ten years.  Larry graduated from the University of South Carolina, is a Viet Nam War veteran and has earned his CLF designation.  He has received 14 MART awards, is a member of LIMRA's Research Agencies Group, GAMA's Executive Cabinet, NAIFA and is active in numerous community activities. 

Larry and his wife reside in Des Moines and have four children.

Brian has 15 years of industry experience and joined the Principal Financial Group in 2005.  He is a graduate of Simpson College. He has earned his CLU^®, ChFC^®, CFP^®, and CLF. Brian is the Treasurer of Rotary International (Cedar Rapids Daybreak), a Board member of Young Parents Network and a 2009 graduate of Leadership for Five Seasons.  He earned the Eagle Scout Award in Boy Scouts of America, the Paul Harris Fellow 2007 for Rotary International and Career Development Awards in '01, '02, '03, '06 and '07 from GAMA.

Brian is married and has four sons.

Craig has been with the Principal Financial Group since 2003.  Prior to joining The Principal, Craig was a District Manager for Andrx Labs.  Craig is a graduate of University of Notre Dame.  He is an active member of Plymouth Congregational church and an active member of Notre Dame Club of IA.  Craig is a four time member of the Monogram Club at University of Notre Dame and a five time member of student-athlete academic excellence at Notre Dame. 

Craig is married and has two sons.

Dan began his career with the Principal Financial Group in 1983.  Prior to joining The Principal, Dan's other industry experience was working in the home office Advanced Sales Departments from 1977 – 1980 and field management since 1980.  Dan received his B.A. from the University of Iowa in 1974, his JD* from the University of Iowa in 1976 and passed the bar exam in 1977.  He has received 11 MART awards.

Dan is married and has four children.

Mike has 18 years of industry experience and joined the Principal Financial Group in 1990. Mike has also been a small business owner for ten years. He graduated from the University of Iowa and has earned his CLF designation. Mike has been a MART qualifier thirteen times and a Top Trophy winner. He is a member of NAIFA, GAMA and St. Francis Church.

Mike and his wife and family reside in West Des Moines, IA.

Terry has 16 years of industry experience and began his career with the Principal Financial Group in 2003.  Prior to joining The Principal, Terry was in programmable control system sales.  He graduated from the University of Iowa, received his Life Underwriters Training Council Fellow, Fraternal Insurance Council Fellow and his currently studying for his CLU^®.

Terry is married and has two daughters.

Jeff has 20 years of experience in the financial services sector and 15 of those years have been with the Principal Financial Group.  Jeff has received his LUTCF designation and is working on his ChFC^®. Jeff is a moderator for LUTC and FSS classes, a member of NAIFA and a MART qualifier.

Jeff is married and has two children.
