Supplier Diversity Requirements

To be considered as a supplier for the Principal Financial Group under Supplier Diversity, the company must meet the following qualifications:

• Companies must be at least 51% owned, controlled and operated by one or more minorities or women.
• Groups eligible for participation are:
• African-Americans
• Hispanic Americans
• Asian or Pacific Island Americans
• Native Americans/Alaskan Natives
• Asian-Indian Americans
• Women
• The minority or women-owned businesses must be certified by one or more of the following organizations:
• Regional Council of the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC)
• Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC)
• Other federal, state or local government agencies
• All companies must be located within the United States, its territories or possessions.
• All diverse suppliers are subject to the same basic requirements as non-diverse suppliers.
