Types of "EZ" Solutions
There are several types of "EZ" solutions:
- "EZ" profit sharing plan - Profit sharing plans are popular because of their contribution flexibility. Employer contributions can change year-to-year or be skipped all together.
- "EZ" money purchase plan - This plan offers the highest tax-deductible contribution of all defined contribution plans. Because fixed contributions are required each year, a money purchase plan may be best for a business with a stable cash flow. The amount you contribute depends on your plan's design; you could contribute a percentage of each employee's pay or integrate your contribution with Social Security benefits.
- "EZ" combination profit sharing/money purchase plan - A profit sharing and money purchase plan combination gives you maximum flexibility and a higher contribution limit with very low administrative costs.
