The companies chosen as The Principal 10 Best Companies for Employee Financial Security are held up as role models, setting the standard for excellence in employee benefits. The winners receive:
- Extensive recognition and acclaim
- Official honor during a recognition event in their city
- A donation to the charity of their choice
- Ability to use the recognition title in any internal or external marketing materials.
Recognition events
Each winner is officially honored during a recognition event in their city. A representative from The Principal presents a stunning, custom designed trophy and a charitable donation from The Principal Financial Group Foundation, Inc. The media, company employees and government officials are welcome to attend these recognition events.

Charitable donation
Another way that we recognize our winning companies is by supporting their efforts to build up their communities. At The Principal, we believe that by giving back to the communities where our employees live, we help the communities prosper and that helps ensure our employees' financial futures. The Principal Financial Group Foundation, Inc. makes a donation in the name of each winning company to a local non-profit organization of each winner's choice.
