Jim's Story On Career Advancement
As an accounting analyst, I analyze and report actual and forecast expenses and serve as a conduit between our corporate management team and the management in our business segments. In previous roles I have led the budget team in the expense management department.
Throughout my career I have had opportunities to build existing skills and learn new ones. With role transitions I've been able to apply my financial knowledge in a different capacity while gaining more exposure to other areas of the company. Maintaining an open mind and a flexible approach to work challenges, respecting others and their opinions, being confident and assertive with my thoughts, and having a willingness to do what it takes to “get the job done” have contributed to my success here at The Principal.
