Being a good corporate citizen is part of our culture at Principal®, tying back to our core value of integrity. Part of being a good corporate citizen means being a good neighbor in the communities where our employees live and work. Through active participation and financial support, Principal helps to make our communities great places to live, work and play.
Our community involvement takes many forms—from large-scale, company-organized initiatives to employees who follow their passions and dig in to make a difference. We’re proud of the many ways we help enrich our communities, several of which are detailed below.
Through the Principal Volunteer Network, Iowa’s oldest corporate volunteer organization, we encourage employees to get involved in helping community organizations important to them. Our Volunteer Time Off benefit and time employees can allocate for corporately sponsored Days of Action events make it even more likely employees will become involved with the community.
Sponsorships are just one of the ways we give back to our communities and create strategic connections with our customers in the places and causes that matter to their lives.
Helping people is an important part of our culture at Principal®. That's why the company, its employees and the Principal Financial Group Foundation, Inc., work together to give back in a variety of ways.
Through innovative programs and partnerships, incentives, and interventions, we'll help instill a more positive relationship with money, inspire a saving mindset, and motivate savings habits among young people in the emerging middle class.
