Regional Managing Director

  • Builds and supports the professional development of the local management team
  • Drives growth and profitability
  • Develops strong relationships and community involvement to expand markets
Managing Director
  • Build and lead a team of financial professionals
  • Develop and mentor financial professionals
  • Build strong community relationships to expand markets
Recruiting Director
  • Focused on helping leadership grow our local presence through the identification of top talent
  • Build local brand awareness
  • Model and work with other field leaders to build a culture focused on professional development and growth
Development Director
  • Partner with leadership to train, develop and mentor new and experienced agents
  • Coach producers to new professional heights
  • Implement national development programs at the local level

Emerging Leaders Program

The Emerging Leaders Program is a leadership development program for existing financial sales professionals providing the knowledge, skills and ability to job sample a leadership role to help assess if a full-time leadership position is right.

Upon successful completion of the second year in the program—and with mutual interest and position availability—you can pursue a full-time management contract as a managing director, recruiting director or development director, depending on business center needs and open positions.

Selection criteria:

  • Demonstrate a history of sales success
  • Demonstrate a knowledge of Principal Financial Group's systems and tools
  • Undergo management assessment
  • Participate in an interview process that includes field and home office management
