    Retirement planning is tough. Your participants need to make choices that impact their future. That’s a big deal. But it doesn’t have to be overwhelming.

    It helps educate your employees so they make more informed decisions. Plus it’s personalized and fun. See for yourself by watching this short demo

    When a participant logs in to their account at principal.com, they will automatically see the My Virtual Coach conversation that fits their current situation. And, they’ll have easy access to conversations on other topics. 

    Three ways to share with your participants

    • Just tell them to log into principal.com. They’ll run right into My Virtual Coach. 

    My Virtual Coach for enrollment is automatically available for defined contribution plans that use our Salary Deferral Service and have any target date option as the participant-level investment default. 

    For enrollment materials that tell your employees they can get help from My Virtual Coach (if available for your plan), log in to the employer website. If you’re not automatically redirected, select “Participants” then “Enroll and Educate.”

  • Automatic participant education

    All participants get retirement education and action steps from Principal. At age 55, they enter a retirement transition program that provides extra communication and support.

    To make sure your participants get our messages, include their work email addresses when you upload participant data. Not quite sure how to do that? Log in to the employer website and type “email addresses” in the Help feature for step-by-step instructions.

    Remind participants to log in to their account on principal.com to connect with their Retirement Wellness Score, personalized nudges and take-action resources like My Virtual Coach.

  • Offer education webinars or onsite meetings

    Some people want to dig into financial and retirement topics. Group education may be the answer. And you have a couple of options.  

    Webinar series  

    Every month, your participants can hear from retirement professionals on topics like money matters for kids, working in retirement, building an estate plan at any age, Social Security, Medicare and more.

    Education webinars are: 

    • Short – All sessions are less than 30 minutes.
    • Straightforward – They help simplify complicated topics.
    • Interactive – Participants get direct access to a retirement professional for private Q&A. 

    And there’s a regular schedule. New sessions are the third Wednesday of every month at 11 a.m. CT. Replays are always available online. That means participants have anytime, on-demand access to financial and retirement education.
