The investment seeks to maximize total returns. The fund normally invests at least 80% of its net assets in fixed income securities considered to be investment grade quality. It primarily invests in securities that mature within three to fifteen years from the date of settlement and maintains an average dollar-weighted portfolio duration between three and ten years. The fund's investments may include foreign securities denominated in foreign currencies. It may concentrate its investments in obligations of U.S. and foreign banks and bank holding companies.
