Michael S. Conk, AIF®, CRPC®, CFS®, CLF® , RICP® - Regional Managing Director

As Regional Managing Director for the Principal® Financial Network of the Mid-Atlantic, Michael is responsible for actively recruiting, training, and developing financial professionals.

Michael began his career in the financial services industry in September 2004 and is a past President and active member of the Greater Philadelphia Society of Financial Services Professionals (SFSP), an active member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA), and the General Agents and Managers Association (GAMA).

Michael lives in Lansdale, Pennsylvania with his wife, Michelle and their 2 daughters, Lindsay and Amy, along with their dog, Layla. In his spare time, Michael is an avid skier and serves as the Treasurer and volunteers time at Ten Thousand Villages, a non-profit Fair Trade Organization in Souderton, Pennsylvania.

Matthew has earned his Master of Science in Personal Financial Planning. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER professional. This mark comes with extensive training in financial planning, estate planning, insurance, investments, taxes, employee benefits, and retirement planning, as well as in the CFP Board's Standards of Professional Conduct, which are rigorously enforced. 

Matthew is an active member of the community. He is a member of the Montgomery County and Mainline Chamber of Commerce where he is currently a chamber ambassador. He is also an active member of the Conshohocken Plymouth Whitemarsh Rotary and often volunteers for various community service projects.

Kathy McDevitt joined Principal in 2002. As the New Business Consultant, Kathy supports our Financial Professionals in our Mid-Atlantic regional office locations in Wayne, PA, Wilmington, DE, Marlton, NJ, Sewickley, PA and Bethesda, MD with new business processing. She is here to help our Financial Professionals spend less time with paperwork and more time helping their clients reach their goals by providing support in the following areas: Case Preparation & Management, Account and Contract Servicing, E-Business Support.

Kathy graduated from the University of Dayton.  She has her PA life license and has obtained the LOMA designation Associate, Life Management Institute (ALMI). She is also a Notary for Montgomery County, PA.

Kathy was born and raised in Margate, NJ. She will always have South Jersey in her heart and sand between her toes. She moved to Douglassville, PA where she raised her two daughters, Jane, and Mary Kate. In her free time, she enjoys entertaining and spending time with friends and family. She enjoys reading, playing games, gardening, and walking with her neighbors. She is a frequent visitor to Home Depot and Lowes as she always has a home project going on.
