Aimed for investors seeking both stability and long-term capital growth

(DES MOINES, Iowa) – Principal Asset ManagementSM announced the launch of the Principal Capital Appreciation Select ETF (LCAP). This ETF will be managed by Principal Edge, an investment team within Principal Asset Management overseeing $21.1 billion in AUM. With ongoing market volatility, the case for active equity ETFs — particularly those with large-cap U.S. exposure — is growing stronger. Unlike passive strategies, active management provides the flexibility to navigate uncertainty, identify undervalued opportunities, and seek to mitigate downside risks.

In 2024, active ETFs experienced accelerating growth, with net inflows exceeding $27.9 billion, as investors seek transparent solutions to manage risk. The Capital Appreciation Select ETF now offered by Principal Asset Management is designed to meet this growing client demand and build out the firm’s existing active ETF lineup.

“This latest addition strengthens our active ETF suite, tapping into our deep investment expertise to offer clients a streamlined way to invest in what we identify as high quality, competitively advantaged U.S. companies with growing cash flows,” said George Maris, chief investment officer and global head of equities at Principal Asset Management. “With the continued attraction of active ETFs for many clients, we are dedicated to delivering solutions providing value, flexibility, and expert guidance, helping clients navigate global risks and opportunities with confidence.”

The ETF will be managed by Toby Jayne, portfolio manager, and Dan Coleman, co-CIO & portfolio manager of the Capital Appreciation strategy at Principal Asset Management.

With the addition of the Principal Capital Appreciation Select ETF, Principal now offers 12 ETFs designed with the goals of enhancing investor returns, mitigating risk, and improving portfolio diversification. Combined, they represent approximately $5.9 billion in assets under management
