Michael Landis - Regional Managing Director
As a Regional Managing Director, Mike has over 13 years of experience in the financial services industry. Mike is passionate about building and collaborating with his team of financial advisors who specialize in helping business owners and individuals manage their taxes and achieve their financial dreams. Mike’s organizational pillars are, mentorship with his advisors, helping this team with their professional development and providing education to the community.
Mike graduated from Western Oregon University with his Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications. Mike is active in his community, he’s passionate about helping today’s youth get a quality education and experience. Mike is an active member and volunteer with the Gladstone Educational Foundation.
Outside of work, Mike enjoys cooking, hosting friends and family events, coaching his kids Brooklyn and Jacobsen in their sporting activities and spending time with his wife, Jammie.
Scott M. Smith - Associate Managing Director
Scott utilizes his knowledge and experience to mentor and develop new financial professionals. He’s focuses on sales training and industry knowledge to build confidence of his team. Scott enjoys sports, travel and spending time with his wife and their two daughters.
Allyn Smith - Operations Manager
Allyn plays a key role in our leadership team with a strong focus on talent acquisition for the expansion of our firm. Allyn oversees the operations for the entire business center. Allyn enjoys being a mom to her two daughters, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Denise Moore, CLF®, CMC - Regional Marketing Strategist
As Regional Marketing Strategist, Denise provides one on one marketing consultations with advisors to create a customized marketing plan to build and grow their practice. Denise supports local branding and market development in our locations. Denise enjoys traveling to sunny vacation spots, watching sporting events and spending time with loved ones.
Kristen Martin - Recruiting Support Coordinator
Kristen specializes in providing a positive candidate experience and delivering quality recruiting support. Kristen graduated Colorado State University and moved her family to Boise, Idaho in 2016. Kristen enjoys motherhood, photography, sports (loves the Miami Dolphins and Colorado State Rams) and traveling the world.
Laura Coats - Director of Field Supervision
Laura joined Principal® in 2011 with over 15 years of insurance and financial services experience. As Director of Field Supervision, Laura assists our advisors, managers, and overall compliance efforts by providing education and guidance to help foster a compliant and ethical sales culture. Laura enjoys spending time with her son, traveling and watching college football.
Rebeca Alvarado Gurrusquieta - New Business Consultant
As the New Business Consultant, Rebeca assists our financial advisors with new business submissions and other business support activities as needed. Rebeca is bilingual (English and Spanish) and she received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California.
In her personal time, Rebeca enjoys power lifting, she is an avid dog lover, hiking in the Gorge, trips to the beach and reading. Rebeca resides in Beaverton with her boyfriend and their three dogs Daisy, Oliver and Diane (all three are named after Super Heroes).
Rob Morelli - New Business Consultant
As the New Business Consultant, Rob strives to provide outstanding customer service to our sales team. Rob will work with the Northwest financial advisors to support and process their new business. Rob received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Virginia, where he majored in Economics and minored in Statistics.
In his personal time, Rob enjoys hiking around the Northwest, reading, watching documentaries, and traveling to new places. Plus, he’s a big fan of Virginia Basketball.
Morgan Dezenski - Marketing Support Coordinator
Morgan has been in the marketing industry since 2016, with three years previous experience with Access Systems as a Marketing Coordinator specialized within the information technology industry.
Morgan earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration – Marketing and Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Mass Communication – Public Relations from Drake University where she was a winner of the Clarion Award – Community Relations Campaign from the Association for Women in Communication and a winner of the Merit Award – Community Champion from Central Iowa PRSA. She is currently a member of Drake University’s Central Iowa Regional Alumni Board – Philanthropy Chair and a member of Iowa American Marketing Association’s Board – Director of Collegiate Relations.
Morgan is an avid hiker and outdoors lover who has a personal goal of visiting 30 national parks before turning 30. She also shows Arabian and Half-Arabian horses on a local, regional, and national level.
